Crawford Park Accessibility Improvements and Sensory Garden

Rye Brook, New York

Client: Town of Rye, NY

2017

Being Here is providing design, bidding, and construction management services to the Town of Rye, NY for an accessibility retrofitting project in the Town’s historic Crawford Park. Formerly a residential mansion and estate that was donated to the Town, the park is a treasured public space for events and active and passive recreation. BHLA is designing accessible parking and accessible outdoor routes (pedestrian infrastructure) to connect parking, the front and rear entrances to the mansion, a playground (designed/built by others), and a new sensory garden. The project is grant-funded with federal CDBG monies and thus the bid set must comply with federal and state regulations for prevailing wages and other requirements.
